COCKLE BAY WHARF COMPETITION WINNERS

In collaboration with Henning Larsen Architects, Geoffreything Studio wins International Design Competition to design Cockle Bay Park - Tower and Retail Podium on Sydney’s iconic waterfront in Darling Harbour. The 73,000-square-metre project is designed for the redevelopment of Cockle Bay Park in central Sydney and rests at the heart of Sydney and is co-led by Australian real estate company The GPT Group and a global investment manager AMP Capital.

The winning scheme by team Henning Larsen, Geoffreything.Studio and McGregor Coxall - was chosen from six shortlisted designs by UN Studio, Cox Architecture, Woods Bagot, Grimshaw, FJMT, and Wilkinson Eyre.

As one of Australia ’s renowned contemporary artists, Anthony Lister is most interested in breaking down the ideals of highbrow and lowbrow, calling grafitti art “the final frontier in true artistic integrity”. Lister has been selected by Fort Street Capital and is working with Geoffreything.Studio to create large bespoke wall art for the Newman Street façade of Newtown Central.

URBAN LAND INSTITUTE EXPLORES MULTIPLE ELEMENTS OF ‘THE BUSINESS OF WELLNESS’

Global Wellness Institute research shows that Australia is the world’s third largest wellness real estate market, correlating a strong basis for inclusive design with demand.

Recently Geoff had the opportunity to address an Urban Land Institute Forum on ‘The Business of Wellness’. Multiple elements of ‘The Business of Wellness’ were explored - Addressed by four speakers - wellness entrepreneur Tony de Leede; URBNSURF founder and Chairman, Andrew Ross; University of NSW Professor of the Built Environment, Catherine Bridge and architect, Geoff Wilson.
